Preparing to become a family of 3 has been a whirlwind of emotion (ok family of 6 with the dogs). We’ve cried, laughed, been terrified, and overwhelmed with excitement ever since we learned he would be here in December. What you don’t expect when you start a family is all the stuff that goes with having such a little person! He needed everything and we had… dog toys? Luckily, we have wonderful friends and family that have helped us build his little world along the way.
Our nursery inspiration was neutral gray tones with a whimsical woodland theme. Of course, our little Pomeranians influenced us heavily to get fox themed items for him. I mean, look at Piper! She is basically a little fox herself, and she is already guarding his seat. There are multiple pieces throughout the space that were DIY projects by my mother or the both of us. She is just so crafty! She made us the custom signs that say “Be Brave and Be Wild my Child” and “Stay Clever Little Fox”. We also handmade the mobile with gold foil twine, wooden stars that we painted, and a large embroidery hoop. All the supplies for the mobile came from Michaels. Mom said it best, “I love making some of the things that he will see everyday.”
The sleeping baby animals were the start of our theme that kept everything tied together. The frames are from Crate and Barrel and the prints are from Etsy Seller- Tiny Toes Design
Here is the rest of the pieces throughout the room. Enjoy!
